    [Program Note]
    The first movement Moderato Cantabile is in short sonata form and connects cute and charming themes. The second movement Allegro con moto begins with a distinct melody of bassoon and connects to canon. A harsh and grotesque theme then extends to a beautiful ensemble. In the third movement Andante Cantabile, the pastoral theme of Oboe freely swims within the mirage of harmonic background. All the instruments exchange themes while whispering the romance of a bright spring day. The fourth movement finale, Allegro Assai begins with a fugue. The fugue theme of 14 measures is initially played by flute, but extends to clarinet, oboe, bassoon and horn as it reaches the climax. Tempo di Valse, a typical waltz style music in chromatic scale, follows after and adds tension to the piece. The climax of the entire piece is formed through Memo mosso-molto vivace-presto, followed by a repetition of short waltz. The piece ends in a colorful and passionate coda-fugatto.
