    Ⅰ Allegro con moto
Ⅱ Andante con elegiac - Allegretto con esotico
    Ⅲ Finale Allegro con brio

    [Dedication]

    [Commission]

    Kuopio Symphony Orchestra

    [Program Note]

This piece, 34 minutes long, is constructed in three movements and each movement presents the characteristic world of the composer. The first movement gradually changes in dynamics as orchestra add counterpoint on to the minimalistic movement of the piano. Following the virtuosic movement of the piano, the powerful flash of the orchestra which seems to penetrate through the whole piece begins and ends, eventually leading to the introduction of the tragic and sorrowful second act. Following the sad song used as the intro for the second movement, various counter melodies—gentle but also fast and lively, that use multi complex modes appear. The melodies then explode, thus returning to the first part of the first movement. The third movement starts with an arch style theme of the piano and reaches a passionate climax with powerful repetitions of chords and rhythms. A faint, slow waltz style melody appears and soon enters a large-scale canon, and the piece comes to an end with the flickering of instruments.
