Being the first piano solo piece which I consistently worked from 2003 to 2016, ‘Suite per Pianoforte’ is an outcome of research and contemplation of mode, classic dance rhythm patterns and forms. By the time I was exhausted by intemperance of contemporary music jumbled up with sound mass and dodecaphony, I found a new mode which offered me a lot of promise that this mathematical and sensuous combination could open up a whole new range of possibilities. Furthermore, as Alban Berg did, I adopted numerous classic rhythm patterns and forms in trying to solve the discomfort caused by an unfamiliar mode. Various attempts were so grandly realized that the piece requires a virtuoso performance as well as musical rumination of musicians. 

Despite ‘Suite per Pianoforte’ is composed in a mathematical manner with rigorous logicality, I hope that listeners savor the music through a unique mode, stable rhythm pattern and familiar form.
